Red Team
Position Summary
This team comprises of individuals that have a technical background in IT and will play the role of “hackers”.
Goal
To disrupt the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Blue Team networks.
Requirements
Individuals with experience in penetration testing of IT/OT systems.
Ability to assist on Friday and Saturday of the competition. (Virtual and In-person opportunities)
Incentive
In exchange for your time commitment, Argonne can provide CPE credits for continuing education.
Green Team
Position
This team plays the role of a typical business user and is comprised of users with a variety of skill sets.
Goal
Green Team members are in charge of judging usability and availability of the Blue Team systems.
Requirements
Ability to use a desktop or laptop computer to check email and browse a website.
Availability on Saturday, November 9, 2024 (Virtual and in-person opportunities available)
Scoring Assistant
Position
This team assists competition staff with scoring pre-competition scoring materials such as security documentation or video submissions.
Goal
Provide Blue Teams with more well rounded feedback from various perspectives to their work.
Requirements
Ability to score impartially for all assigned scoring documents.
Availability the week of October 28, 2024 to score videos OR the week of November 4, 2024 to score documentation.
Logistic Volunteer Roles & High School Volunteers
Position
Want to support but only have limited time? We have various non-competition support roles available that we need help with:
- volunteer and team check-in tables on Friday or Saturday,
- assisting with lunch,
- raffle tickets,
- directional support,
- CyberForce staff support and more…
Requirements
We ask that you are available for a minimum of 2 hours of support.
